Durable, Low Maintenance Outdoor Shade

Aluma-Cover combines the appearance of wood with the performance of aluminum. It resists warping, rotting and insect damage, which means it keeps looking right years after a wood structure in the same spot would need work.

Unlike traditional wood, Aluma-Cover will not crack, peel or deteriorate over time. Its weather resistant properties make it a strong fit for patios, pergolas and shade structures, with no sanding, staining or sealing in the maintenance routine. We install it as part of our patio cover and shade structure work.

Why It Works Here

Why Aluminum over Wood

Wood looks good on installation day. Aluminum looks the same on year ten, which is the comparison that matters in this climate.
  • No Warping, Rot or Termite Damage
  • No Sanding, Staining or Sealing
  • Insulated, Solid and Lattice Systems
  • Certified Aluma-Cover Installation

No Warping or Rot

Aluminum construction holds its shape through heat cycles and seasonal weather.

Insect Resistant

Nothing for termites to attack, unlike traditional wood framing and beams.

No Refinishing

No sanding, staining or sealing. The finish is part of the product.

Weather Resistant

Built to hold up to intense sun, monsoon rain and blowing dust.

Arizona Considerations

Built for the Valley

Heat, UV and monsoon wind are the three things that end an outdoor structure early here. Aluminum handles all three without the annual upkeep wood demands, and insulated panels cut radiant heat under the cover noticeably. Finished installations are in the project gallery.
  • Insulated panels reduce heat under the structure
  • Finish resists chalking and fading in constant sun
  • No annual sanding, staining or sealing
  • Framing and footings detailed for monsoon wind
  • Cleaning is a rinse, not a refinish
